Because SNOOP is partly staffed and managed by parents of children with special needs, we have a wealth of experience and training and welcome parents/carers to approach us for advice, guidance and support.
This may take various forms:
- advice on SEN issues (education) from advice to appeal where necessary
- attending reviews (annual), behaviour assessments, care assessments, hospital appointments and social services
- acting as a linkworker or signposting to other services
At SNOOP there are staff who are trained as Independent Parental Supporters in line with the 'Code of Practice' (DfES).
