Want to know more - special needs policy

We aim to offer a varied and stimulating range of activities whilst also being aware of the need for relaxation. Each child has individual needs and requirements and will be cared for as such taking into account their interests, abilities and personal hygiene needs. With this in mind our staffing ratio's are apropriate to the individual child's needs.

We welcome the opportunity to work with parents/carers and other professionals involved in the care of an individual child at all levels. SNOOP operates a home/school diary system and staff are always available to discuss your child's progress. Staff are also happy to atend reviews relating to a child, this may be regarding specialist equipment, bahaviour, assessment for future services, or annual reviews including core assessment and special educational reviews. Staff members are trained Independent Parental Supporters in accordance with the Code of Practice.

SNOOP is based in the Holybrook Centre which is fully accessible to people with a disability. The building is all on one level and there are no stairs. Facilities are also availabe to ensure privacy of children with special needs when intimate care isbeing provided.

We aim for your peace of mind and your individual needs are our priority. We always welcome any questions or discussion regarding any of the above.
